Let's Cook at Home The saying goes "if you love something set it free and if it is meant to be it'll find its way back"..... right? All jokes aside, we all need a break from restaurant food and what better way to spend time with friends and family than cooking at home. I personally consider myself an amateur chef that enjoys cooking at home. All you need is some good music, pleasant company of course, and who could forget the wine! Here are my two easy recipes I love making! P.S I will post more complicated ones... stay tuned! Beef and Broccolini Ingredients: -2 pounds of Top Sirloin sliced thinly -3 large bunches of broccolini cut -1 lime -1 tablespoon of corn starch -Dash of Pepper and Pepper Flakes -Soy Sauce (to your liking, you can always add more) -2 cloves of garlic -1 teaspoon of fresh ginger Step 1: Marinate the cut beef with the lime, pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and corn starch in a bowl for an hour. Step 2: Heat a large wok with olive oil and add the garlic then beef with it's juices (make sure to cook on high heat and mix constantly) Step 3: Once beef is cooked add the broccolini and cover with lid for 2-4 min. This softens the broccolini Step 3: Take off the lid and make sure all ingredients are mixed and the juices are all incorportated Step 4: Serve with steamed white rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds. “Life is a combination of love and home-cooked food” –Anonymous Roasted Fingerling Potatoes This is a super easy and delicious way to elevate any dish. It is my go-to side that I love and everyone around me keeps asking for more. This is an easy recipe that requires no dead set ratios for the spices! Seasonings: -Rosemary -Salt and Pepper -Aleppo Pepper -Garlic and Onion Powder -Any other spice you desire! No need to peel the potatoes, properly wash the fingerling potatoes and cut in halves. Add them into a bowl and add the seasonings. Add a generous amount of olive oil to coat the potatoes. Add the potatoes to a baking dish and bake at 425F until golden brown! Wine of the Week “I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food.” - W.C Fields Beaujolais Is Not Dead- Gamay 2020 With a bold label of spray paint art stating that Beaujolais is not dead, I can 100% agree. This is fantastic for anyone looking for a french wine that is super light and easy to drink. With notes of cherry, and white pepper this wine pairs great with Pasta, Poultry and Cheese. I love this bottle! Average price is $25 Catena Malbec -2019 This is a classic Malbec that speaks for itself! With an average rating of 4/5 it is a steal for the price! This is a semi bold wine that is smooth to drink! With dark fruit and leather notes this makes it a great wine for dishes that feature Beef, Poultry or Lamb. Average Price is $20 Palazzo Della Torre - Allegrini 2017 Fantastic tasting wine for the price point! From the region of Allegrini this wine has notes of Chocolate, Plum and oak. Pairs well with just about anything to be very honest. It is a bold wine with a soft finish making it easy to drink! Average Price is $20 Beverly Hills Real Estate / All credit an praise goes to the owners/photographers of these pictures / David Y Realty/ David Yaghootian / Volume 1 of October 19th 2022
