NOVEMBER 6THBeverly Hills NewsletterVolume #1NOVEMBER 6THbhnewsletter.com818.268.0046Over the Hill........Getting over the Hill to go to the Valley is always a hassle. Bumper to bumper traffic, freeway closures, accidents. Anyways, you get the point where I am going with this. However, there are a couple places worth the drive in my opinion. Maybe not on a daily occurrence but I am sure going there once in a while for some good food won't hurt.Petit Trois - Sherman OaksThis Parisian destination is one of the best French restaurants to dine at. Chef Ludo Lefebvre stays true to his French background offering authentic French dishes. The appeal, the décor, furniture, and of course the bar! They all resemble what restaurants in Paris are. The choice of dining chairs to the color of the booths running along the wall as well as the tight and unique ambiance. This place never fails to get in a full crowd. The dining room is always full no matter the time of day.. You can't go wrong with any of the items here but these are my favorites: -Burgundy Escargot -Skirt Steak Frites -French Onion Soup -Crème Brûlée“Food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate.”- Alan D. WolfeltTaishoThe new kid on the block... literally! Ventura Blvd is home to many restaurants from various cuisines. With the rise of new places Taisho wanted to do something different than the norm. They created a restaurant that you would likely see on the Westside of LA. They did a successful job at doing that, ambiance is superb! With outdoor dining and a large indoor dining room, this place doesn't fail to fill a full house every night. The reason why it is so well done is because the owner of Taisho is also the owner of Katana located on Sunset Blvd. He also founded Sushi Roku and a new Mexican Restaurant across Taisho called Casita. Long story short this guy knows what he's doing and continues to open new places throughout various cities. Taisho has been open for a little over a year serving Japanese Cuisine with various menu items. From Sushi Rolls to A5 Wagyu Skewers, they have something for everyone and it is worth the visit!Wine of the Week“Alcohol may be man’s worst enemy, but the Bible says love your enemy.” – Frank SinatraThe Prisoner - Red Blend Napa Valley I am going bold with this weeks selection! 15.2% alcohol content bodied with Cab Sauv, Syrah, Zin, and Petit Sarah. This wine is a perfect pairing for a Porterhouse steak served with some mashed potatoes. Wine like this needs substance, drinking the wine will open and seem less heavy when served with heavier foods. Average price is $45 Stags Leap - Cabernet Sauvignon Another Napa Valley Icon is this bottle right here. It is bold and dry with a semi smooth finish. With notes of oak, leather, and dark fruit this makes it a perfect pairing for meat, poultry or hard cheese. Average Price is $50 Daou - Cabernet Sauvignon This is a standard super market icon and rates relatively high next to the competition. For the price point you cannot go wrong with this wine! Offers depth and complexity which pairs will with just about anything. Take this as a gift or enjoy it yourself! Average price is $20 All credit an praise goes to the owners/photographers of these pictures / David Y Realty/ David Yaghootian / Volume 1 of October 19th 2022
