FEBRUARY 10THBeverly Hills NewsletterVolume #1FEBRUARY 10TH | bhnewsletter.com | 818.268.0046Beyond the Stars......As one dives deeper into food and restaurants you eventually learn the concept and the term "Michelin Star". Michelin Stars are awarded based on quality, service, and exceptional service. Some people may think it's all for show but the real difference in my opinion is the chef. The restaurants with these stars have chefs that are not only talented but well involved.CitrinCitrin is a restaurant owned and operated by Chef Josiah Citrin. Josiah's veins run deep in the restaurant world. He has been doing it for years now with many new ventures on the way. His restaurant called Melisse is a two star Michelin restaurant which serves French Cuisine. Why am I bringing this up? Well, Citrin and Melisse now share the same space. Well.... not really. Melisse is located in the same building but situated in the back with a separate entrance. Citrin is a one star Michelin restaurant with fantastic food. Diners have the option of an a la carte or pre fix menu. Every dish is created and plated ever so beautifully with great attention to detail. You really can't go wrong with any of the items here, specially paired with a nice bottle of wine."Your diet is a bank account, good food choices are good investments" - UnknownHudson HouseIntroducing the new kid on the block! Vandelay Hospitality Group is based out of Dallas which is owned and operated by Hunter Born. Hunter born is a businessman who was featured on Forbes 30 under 30 list. He currently holds numerous restaurants throughout the US. His newest addition has arrived in LA, right in the heart of it all. Hudson House is located right on Sunset and Doheny. If anyone knows the west side they know that this is prime real estate. It is right across BOA steakhouse, walking distance to LAVO and the Edition Hotel. Hudson house has a little bit of everything, from crab cakes to filet mignon you have a variety of options. To give Hudson House a little edge over its competitors they offer a raw bar. From specialty oysters to sashimi plates, they have it freshly made to order. They offer a great selection of wine, which is obviously important to me. As much as I love my vino, I do enjoy a well made cocktail. They have a great cocktail menu, featuring a full bar which offer drinks of your choice as well. All in all, make sure to check them out. The ambiance, the menu it's all well done!Wine of the Week"Penicillin cures, but wine makes people happy." – Alexander FlemingChateau Pey La Tour - Bordeaux This wine is from the Bordeaux region, which I think is the best region. This is my opinion of course and there is no wrong answer. This wine is bold, dry and tannic; making this a great pairing with any dish that contains meat. Pairing this with a heavier dish balances out the boldness of the wine. Average price is $25 Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa I am not a California wine drinker, doesn't mean it's bad. Someone who likes wine appreciates the wine making done here in CA. I think this wine captures that very well. It is bold and heavy with a great finish. This is what a CA Cab is meant to be. Average Price is $80 Villebois- Sancerre The majority of wine drinkers know what Sancerre is. It's essentially Sauv Blanc (the French kind). This is fresh, dry and light with notes of citrus and grass. You can't go wrong with this bottle specially with this price tag Average Price is $20Beverly hills | www.DAVIDYREALTY.COM.
